Considering my original question: about the video advantages of the DVI MyHD option. Only one site had it listed, but its not available.Īny help or suggestions would be appreciated. I looked for one (SIC-HS30) over the internet, but their almost impossible to find in the US. Sony has replaced this input option with a cable that that takes the VGA output to a PJMULTI plug.

What are the voltage levels are associated with a video signal?įor further clarification, there is no VGA input to the HS20, making it impossible to run a straight VGA cable. Is there another means to check the MyHD output from the blue cable or to check the VGA/component cable. Either there is not output from the MyHD card to the blue cable or the VGA/component cable is bad. Thinking that there is a setting for turning on the video out of the MyHD card, I looked over the various menu setup options, but maybe I missed something. I played with all the input parameters of the projector, but with no success in generating a visible screen image. Result: no desktop image on the projector screen. I unplugged the monitor and plugged the VGA/component adapter cable into the ATI graphics card and then ran this to the component input of the projector. I thought for testing purposes, I could instead use the projector as the desktop monitor. There still is a video overlay on the monitor desktop from the MyHD, so I know the card is receiving and outputting an HD signal. With this latter setup I got only a blank screen, so no apparent signal was going to the projector. Using the ati radeon 9700 pro card VGA only for the monitor, the blue cable was hooked directly to the projector component input through the VGA/component cable. When I purchased the card, I also received a VGA/component breakout cable, so I thought I was in luck. As you suggested, yesterday I went back and set it up in the dual monitor mode per the MyHD instructions. Your explanation makes sense, I had been using the blue cable setup in the single monitor mode therefore the video overlay was in fact going to HD projector using the ati theater video setup option for the secondary display.
